It is my belief that each of us can heal from emotional, physical and sexual trauma. In the presence of compassion, kindness and non-judgment, I listen to, and witness the suffering and profound pain shared during therapy. In therapy, the healing power of compassion; sense of being understood by and cared for by another human being is offered. Each of us has the same needs when we are suffering; to feel validated, safe and understood for the duration of our journey. In our work together, I will offer support, encouragement, and honesty, tempered with compassion.
There's no goal, trauma or fear undeserving of treatment. I will support you on the path of self-discovery and growth. Together we will work to enable individuals to regulate emotions, cope with ongoing stressors in their lives, improve anxiety, depression and other dysfunctional symptoms, thoughts and behaviors.
Individuals come to therapy unable to regulate their emotions, fearful of feelings of depression, anxiety and emotional pain. Together we piece together the pieces of the puzzle, improving coping skills, increasing tolerance of recurrent challenges of life as well as experiencing love, joy and feelings of pleasure.
